Sound + Vision
De BAHM sound + vision is the result of George De La Hoz’
roots in Art and Design. As his first tool of self expression, the Graphic Arts
opened a path that led him to build a foundation in Commercial Art. The desire
to enter the world of Cartooning and Animation was the principal reason George
entered the High School of Art & Design in New York City. Although after two years his
focus turned to Architecture, his interest in the other graphic arts did not
wane. While obtaining his professional degree in Architecture, he dedicated
many hours to Film and Video Production, Freehand Sketching, and Music
Composition.
In 1988, embarking
in another of his explorations of the creative arts he found fellow artists who
shared the need to create in other ways. George joined them and spent the next
few years as a member of Villaire, a
recording act that slowly built a following in New York. With a record deal and several
singles in their back pocket, they were able to fill those years with fun adventures
and explorations. It was a time rich with experience.
On December 19, 1991, on the
stage of the Village Gate in NYC,
George performed for the last time. He went on to work behind the scenes on
various independent projects with others in the business. In 1994, he joined Logic State Records and its parent
company Kertz-Code Music, Inc. to
work on a project that would lead to a release that created a bit of a buzz in
the New York club scene. It was at this point in time that George created Ariadna’s Place Music (APM), a publishing and production
company that would carry the banner for the musical and artistic exploits of
the next few years.
Today APM has become the sound and vision
division of De
BAHM. It is a well of creative energies dedicated to exploring the
visual and auditory arts.
